The History of the Future - A news report from 1962 presents concepts which may seem familiar to us. I find it interesting certain aspects of our present interaction with computers in the home (and, indeed, on person) which we take for granted as necessary (like digital storage) are not considered. For example, it important that we be able to print out a copy of the newspaper that we see on the screen in the early 60. But now we rarely, if ever, print anything off the net. If we want it, we'll bookmark it, link it on Facebook or Twitter, make a pdf, or store it on a drive.
It does make me wonder what assumptions we are making now about the future today. What is "obvious" to us now that will seem strange in 2063?
